3D printing

Image
Objective of this pratical: 1. Design the object by using 3D printer 2. Using Cura to adjust the settings before printing. 3. Operate the 3D printer. At the end of this practical, I should be able to: 1. More famaliar with Fusion 360 2. Choose more suitable parameters in Cura before printing. 3. Observe how 3D Printer works. To begin, create a sphere.. Cut the sphere horozontally by spiting them in to two. Now the sphere becomes to seperate body. Move the sphere horizontally and delete the upper body. Draw a line in the middle of the half sphere. Extrude half of the sphere. Create a new sketch and using arc to draw a half circle. Finish the sketch and extrude the half circle to desired height. Adjust the body in to the roboy by moving it horizontally and vertically. Create a new sketch by drwaing two circle at the bottom. The size of the circle will be the thickness of the robot's leg Extrude the circles. The height will be the length of the leg...

Laser cutting

Image
In this lesson, we learned about how to laser cut by using CorelDraw and knowledge about laser cutting. We are using CO2 Laser cutter in our practical. In a Co2 laser cutter, light is produced when electricity runs through a gas-filled tube with mirrors at both ends. The machine we used can cut wood, paper, cardboard and some plastic. Not all plastic can be cut by this machine as there may be poisonous gas produceed during the cutting. Difference between RASTER and VECTOR Raster images, also known as bitmaps, are comprised of individual pixels of color. Each color pixel contributes to the overall image. Vector graphics are made up of paths, each with a mathematical formula (vector) that tells the path how it is shaped and what color it is bordered with or filled by. We can see individual pixels in the raster file, but the vector is still smooth. With vectors, resolution is not a concern. Function of CorelDraw Coreldraw is vector-based designing software used to create logos, fl...

Self Goal One of my goal is to get used with FUSHION 360. Althrough I had learned about FUSHION 360 in the last semester, but I know there are definitely more than that. There are still a lot of buttons and shapes I had not come through yet. Therefore, I really hope that I can get more knowledge on the use of FUSHION 360 and create more complecated models in the future. The next goal of mine is to know how to use laser cutter. It may be difficul to use the apps for laser cutting but I am imterested in laser cutting. I hope there will be product pring out by me by using the laser cutter machine.

CAD Part 2

In second week, we were tasked to do a handphone holder in order to improve our skills on FUSHION 360. At first, create the view of the handphone first by using straight. Then create the side view of the handphone by using offset. Follow by clicking finish sketch to done with sketching. Next, press extrude to increase the breadth of the sketch, the breadth is based on te wide of the hand phone. Lastly, this will be the final handphone holder after extruding the sketch.

CAD Part 1

In the first week lesson, we are suppose to do a keyring like what we did in last semester. The main purpose is to let us recap on how to use Fushion 360 Choose to create sketch at the start Create a rectangle to begin Choose the fillet option and click it at four corner of the rectangle Choose the offset option and drag the boarder to the distance we want Select the cicle and choose the size and location we want Select the text and enter the text we want, in this case is the name Press the finish sketch button to done with sketching After finish the sketch, select the extrude to increase the height of te keyring, choose the height we want. The keyring is done now and can also choose to increase the height of the name also if we want
